We offer a respectful approach enabling you to separate with dignity and agreement, avoiding the stress and expense of court.
“One Couple One Solicitor” is a co-operative and respectful way to separate.
It helps you and your spouse to work together using the same solicitor to resolve matters calmly. This will save you time and money and will help you to reduce the emotional strain of separating.

“One Couple One Solicitor” is a new way of helping couples separate respectfully and efficiently. You and the other party will commit to focusing on open communication and problem-solving rather than conflict. This will allow you both to work with a specially trained solicitor who will help you achieve a fair and balanced outcome.
You will work together and identify priorities, share financial information transparently where appropriate and explore the options that are available to meet the needs of everyone involved, with the priority being the children.
This unique and special process encourages cooperation, reduces stress and will mean that you, as a couple, will retain control of the decision-making rather than it been placed in the hands of a judge.
Once your agreement has been reached, it will be formalised into legally binding Court Order, which you have both helped to create. This means you can move forward with dignity and with confidence in your shared solution.
We will meet with you individually to begin with. This will help us to understand your circumstances and assess whether the “One Couple One Solicitor” option is suitable for you.
We will then arrange a joint meeting to define each of your goals and aspirations now that you have decided to separate. We will help you to identify what decisions need to be made by both of you following your separation. This allows us to tailor our advice and provide you with options to consider.
We will then support you and help you to consider the options available and move towards a fair and balanced agreement. It will then be necessary for us to prepare a Consent Order which is filed with the Court, a process which turns your agreement into a legally binding document.
